Five questions regarding today's South Carolina-Citadel game.
Who...will put points on the board for South Carolina?
After three quarters of putrid offense against Florida, Perry Orth and Pharoh Cooper connected twice to put the Gamecocks within striking distance in the final 15 minutes. Expect Cooper to play a big role today, as he should have some favorable matchups.
What...is the scariest thing about The Citadel?
Take your pick. The Bulldogs have clinched a share of the Southern Conference title and are ranked in the FCS top-25 for the third consecutive week. Oh, and there's that whole "triple option" thing.
When...will D.J. Neal be back on the field?
Possibly today. Shawn Elliott said that Neal practiced throughout the week and looked good. The freshman has emerged as a capable target in the passing game and could take some pressure off of Cooper.
Where...will most of Shawn Elliott's attention be focused?
I'm guessing at the right tackle position, where the South Carolina offense will be without Mason Zandi for the first time all season. True freshman Blake Camper will get the start for the Gamecocks and Elliott has said that he expects Camper to be up to the challenge.
Why...would anyone willingly schedule an FCS triple-option team?
Still waiting on a good answer to this.
