The Cleveland Browns announced on Tuesday that Connor Shaw has been placed on injured reserve.
The former South Carolina quarterback injured his right thumb in August, and the injury required surgery.
By being placed on injured reserve, Shaw will miss the entire 2015 NFL season.
As a rookie last season, Shaw played in and started one game, going 14 of 28 for 177 yards with an interception. This preseason, he played in one game, going 5 of 10 for 64 yards.
