10 Reasons To Still Enjoy Football Season

By Rixon Lane

Let's be honest, this football season hasn't gone the way you hoped it would.

Don't worry, you're not alone. We're all in this together. Safe space.

Fortunately, there are plenty of reasons to keep on enjoying your autumn Saturdays, no matter how your team is playing.

1. We're just getting to the point where it isn't unbearably hot at tailgates.

And that means [insert name here] is probably going to bring his/her world famous chili soon!

2. The playoff race is completely muddled and it's not going to get any better.

The loser of the Egg Bowl might automatically make the playoff. Think about that.

3. No player will be busted for signing autographs for money during a game.

Jeez guys, I know the rules are stupid, but can't you at least wait until the offseason?

4. Message board hot takes.

Love 'em or hate 'em, they are always wildly entertaining.

5. "College Gameday"

The best sports pre-game show, bar none. And the signs are glorious.

6. Conference championship races.

The SEC West is a seven-way cage match, the East is a dumpster fire, but both are competitive.

7. The little guys who could mess up everything.

The Marshall Thundering Herd are still undefeated. Do they make it in if they run the table?

8. Heisman Trophy.

No clear-cut favorite means there is actually some anticipation about who will win this year.

9. Rivalry games are getting closer and closer.

In about a month, there will be pure hatred spewing from nearly every fan base in America.

10. Steve. Spurrier. Press. Conferences.

Love 'em or hate 'em, they are always wildly entertaining.
